Together with the German equipment manufacturers centrotherm and RENA Technologies, ISC Konstanz has supported the successful ramp-up of a new 2.9 GW TOPCon solar cell production facility at Indian photovoltaic manufacturer EMMVEE. The production line has already achieved conversion efficiencies of up to 25.4%.

EMMVEE is one of India’s leading photovoltaic companies and is currently expanding its long-standing module manufacturing activities with a state-of-the-art solar cell factory in Bengaluru. The production line is based on equipment from leading German technology suppliers. While centrotherm coordinated the installation and commissioning of the production line and RENA Technologies supplied the wet-processing equipment, ISC Konstanz supported the German project partners with technology transfer, process integration and onsite production ramp-up.

The successful project demonstrates how close cooperation between equipment manufacturers, research institutes and industrial partners can accelerate the industrial deployment of advanced photovoltaic technologies. The achieved efficiencies, together with the recently awarded follow-up orders for German technology providers, underline the success of this collaboration.

With many years of experience in technology transfer, ISC Konstanz supports companies worldwide in establishing new solar cell and module manufacturing facilities – from process development and production line integration to successful industrial ramp-up.
