Yield prediction for bifacial systems
The possible additional yield of bifacial modules strongly depends on the selected installation conditions (height, row spacing, etc.) and the back radiation (albedo). ISC Konstanz has developed a programme to predict the yield of bifacial module systems. With this, energy yields can be precisely calculated for different environmental and installation conditions (fixed angle, vertical, uniaxial tracking). This software is unique and makes it possible to predict the yield of the systems over their lifetime, which is necessary for the successful design of bifacial solar parks.
This software, which we call MoBiDiG, is recognised (bankable) by banks when it comes to financing such investments.
