Agri-PV systems, particularly when designed as vertical bifacial PV systems, allow for the dual use of available land: while the solar modules generate renewable, emission-free electricity, the land between the rows of modules can continue to be used for agricultural purposes. It is particularly important to maximize the energy yield of the PV system while considering the needs of agriculture. In this regard, the ISC Konstanz conducted a study using its simulation model MoBiDiG to quantify the differences in energy yield for Agri-PV systems based on the vertical Next2Sun concept compared to a typical vertical bifacial system from competitors. The summary of the results of this study has been published in a white paper.
