Dr. Razvan Roescu

Dr. Razvan Roescu was born and raised in Romania. He obtained his Diploma and his Master's Degree in Physics at the University of Bucharest. In 2001, he began working as a research assistant at the National Institute of Materials Physics in Bucharest, where he was engaged in the characterisation and testing of semiconductor gas sensors for carbon monoxide and methane.

He moved to Germany in 2005 in order to work on his doctoral thesis at the Ruhr-University Bochum's Chair of Applied Solid-State Physics. His research topic was: "Tuning of the properties of self-assembled InAs/GaAs quantum dots".

In December 2009, he joined ISC Konstanz, where he is responsible for solar cell characterisation and where he is further developing back-contact solar cells.
