Nicola Voigt was born in 1967 in Sulingen and grew up in Bremen. After graduating from high school, she obtained a qualification in private banking at Privatkundenbank. Afterwards, she worked in a leading position in Munich, Münster as well as Singen.
Nicola Voigt is married and has two sons, Sebastian and Johannes. After her parental leave, she has been working in property management branch in Konstanz in 2000-2008.
As of September 2008, she has been employed at the ISC Konstanz and responsible for financial accounting.
