Dr. Lacramioara Popescu was born in Timisoara, Romania. She obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and Chemistry in 2001 at the West University of Timisoara. In 2003 she graduated from the University of Groningen, Holland, with a Masters of Science (M.Sc.) degree. She entered the PhD program at the University of Groningen in the area of organic solar cells, and successfully completed it in October 2008. Since October 2008, she has been working full-time at the ISC Konstanz.
