Alexander Edler was born in 1985 in Braunschweig. He studied in Heidelberg and received a degree in Physics in 2010. For his thesis he investigated refractive index modifications of intraocular lenses using femtosecond pulses. His ongoing interest in renewable energies led him to the ISC Konstanz, where he performs research in the field of n-type solar cells.
