First SUNI-Project completed

We are glad to present you the results of the first SUNI Project which supplied a upper primary school in Kalappetty, Kerala with solar electricity and water purification systems.

Here some more impressions from the school.

The water purification system

The first part of the development cooperation project SUNI was completed in the end of January 2011. The local craftsmen installed the water purification system in the school of Kalappetty. At the moment the system is connected to the main electricity grid, but in the next months the solar panels will be installed to make the water purifier indipendent of any power cut-offs. The solar panels for the healt center are also waiting for the next installation session in April.
